Mood board - Cobalt and neutrals

Mood board... Colour board... As I am working on my next range of products for anaca studio, I am going through some colour selection for the upholstery. I am a generally a big fan of neutral and grey and tans, and although it can seem a little safe at times, I still love the look in interiors. So long as it is mixed with plenty of texture. I find it calming and soothing. This said, a little introduction of colours cannot go astray. So when I started putting a few elements together and thinking of what colour to bring in my favourite mix of neutrals, I didn't choose the colour, the colour jumped at me like it was the obvious choice. This rich cobalt blue. Admittedly it has been growing in the back of my mind for a little while - unnoticed and somehow overlooked. Until now. So now the colours are picked, I'm going through texture selections... More soon, so keep an eye on this page...

Oh, and if you're interested in colour psychology, I stumbled onto this interesting article from NY Times. Enjoy.
